Terms of Service

§1 — Who we are and what this is

QR Share is operated by Sergey Royz, a sole trader based in Prague, Czech Republic. Contact: [email protected]. These Terms govern your use of qrshare.io and its services. By creating an account or uploading a file, you accept these Terms.

§2 — The Service

QR Share is a temporary file-sharing tool. You upload a file, we generate a QR code and a download link, and the file is deleted after the retention period of your plan. We may modify or discontinue features; for paid features we will give reasonable notice.

§3 — Eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old.
• You must not be on any EU sanctions list.
• You must use the Service in accordance with applicable law in your jurisdiction and in the Czech Republic.

§4 — Your account

• Registration requires a valid email address.
• Login uses email verification codes or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for keeping your login secure.
• Accounts are personal — do not share your login or transfer your account to others.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

§5 — Acceptable use

You agree not to upload, share, or use QR Share to distribute:

• Malware, ransomware, viruses, or other harmful code.
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that exploits minors.
• Content that infringes copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
• Personal data of other people without their consent.
• Content illegal in the Czech Republic or in the recipient's jurisdiction — hate speech, threats, defamation, incitement to violence.
• Content used to impersonate others, to conduct phishing, or to commit fraud.
• Automated or high-volume uploads that abuse or degrade the Service.

Violations may result in immediate file removal and account termination. We cooperate with law enforcement where legally required.

§6 — File storage, retention, and loss

QR Share is not a backup service. Files are temporary by design.

• Free plan: files are retained for 1 hour after upload.
• Paid plans: retention is [TBD — published before paid plans launch].

After expiry, files are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. We are not liable for data loss after the retention period has elapsed, or for files that become inaccessible due to system failure, abuse takedowns, or account termination.

§7 — Takedown and abuse reports

If you believe content on QR Share infringes your rights or violates these Terms, email [email protected] with:

• The download URL of the file.
• A description of the issue and your legal basis (e.g., copyright claim).
• Your contact information.

We review takedown requests promptly and remove content we determine to be in violation. Bad-faith or repeatedly false reports may cause us to decline future requests from the same reporter.

§8 — Intellectual property

• You retain ownership of the files you upload.
• By uploading, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and transmit the file solely to deliver the Service.
• The QR Share name, branding, code, and visual design are our property.

§9 — Availability and disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". There is no uptime SLA on the Free plan. Paid plans may include specific SLA terms stated in the plan's commercial terms. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against all threats.

§10 — Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Czech and EU law:

• Free plan: our total liability is zero. The Service is offered without charge and without warranty.
• Paid plans: our total liability is capped at the fees you have paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Czech mandatory consumer law; you retain your statutory rights as a consumer.

§11 — Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or content you upload — to the extent permitted by law.

§12 — Termination

• You may delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. On deletion, your personal data is handled per the Privacy Policy.
• We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, with notice where reasonable.

§13 — Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users and via the site. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance. The revision date at the top of this page is always current.

§14 — Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of the Czech Republic. If you are a consumer resident in another EU member state, you retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of your local law.
